How we clean a roof
We fly the roof first, at height and close in, so we can see the state of every elevation, the ridge, the valleys and the flashings. That survey tells us which method the covering will take. We then show you what the finish will realistically look like before any work is booked, so there are no surprises on the day. Manual moss removal is done by hand with plastic scrapers, working down the roof, with the gutters and downpipes cleared afterwards so nothing washes into the drainage. Soft washing uses a biocide applied at low pressure, which kills the spore rather than blasting the surface.
Why we never pressure wash a roof
High pressure lifts the protective granules off concrete tiles, drives water under laps, cracks brittle clay and can shift slates off their nibs. It looks impressive for a week and then the roof greens up faster than before because the surface is now rougher and more porous. We use pressure only where a surface can genuinely take it, and a roof almost never can. That is the whole point of running several methods rather than one.
What you get afterwards
Every roof clean is documented in 4K from the drone, before and after, from the same angles. You keep those images. They are useful for your own records, for insurance, and for anyone selling a property who wants evidence the roof has been maintained.
