Solar panel proofing
A galvanised or PVC coated mesh is clipped around the perimeter of the array, fixed to the panel frame rather than drilled into your roof. It stops birds getting underneath while leaving the airflow that keeps the panels efficient. Done properly it is barely visible from the ground.
Clearing before proofing
Sealing birds and old nests into a space is both cruel and a mistake, because the material rots and blocks the drainage. We remove nesting material, clear the guano, disinfect the area and only then fit the proofing. All work follows the relevant wildlife protection rules on active nests.
Guano is a health matter
Dried droppings carry bacteria and fungal spores and become airborne when disturbed. It is not a job for a homeowner with a brush. We use appropriate protection and disinfect the area properly before anything else happens.
